"The room was great, very clean and spacious, nicely furnished. We booked for 4 adults but the room that was booked for us was for 3 adults and 1 child. The staff was able to sort it out promptly by offering us another room, however something that might be worth calling about for the future. Breakfast was great, and in very good location!"

"Everything was perfect from start to finish. The communication from the start was fabulous. Check in was really smooth and accommodating and the house was wonderful. It was clean, tidy and had everything you would require for your stay. The hot tub was already heated, clean and fresh. The little touches was an added bonus and really thoughtful. It was perfect for our stay as a group of women on a hiking weekend. Thankyou for having us."

"There was nothing we didn't like about the Hotel. The whole hotel has had a massive upgrade / renovation and for the cost of the accommodation, it represents top value. We ate at the restaurant , ( reluctantly ) after reading some less favorable reviews , and decided the reviewers, who had left those reviews must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed. The food was delicious. The staff were really friendly , helpful, and seemed to care. If they didn't care they made a very good job of acting. My wife and I would highly recommend the "Pen""

"Kleines, gemütliches Ferienhaus in einer Häuserzeile einer ehemaligen Kohlebergbaustadt, gleich gegenüber dem Bergbaumuseum. Positiv hervorzuheben sind die Sauberkeit der Unterkunft und die Kommunikation mit der hilfsbereiten Gastgeberin, die immer innerhalb weniger Stunden geantwortet hat. Ein paar mehr Töpfe und eine Teekanne würden das Haus noch perfekter machen."
