This stylish new hotel in Kunming exceeded my expectations. The room was comfortable, the gym nicely lit and well equipped, and the food delicious. Both Managers Liu and Jerry were professional. Overall a pleasant stay. I’d come again.

We booked a fun and cute family room. Our kids were happy with the decorations. This is a new and premium 5 Stars hotel, but it is located a bit far from the city center. This hotel is not recommended if you plan to do a shopping at night.

I like the personal touch with before bed snacks. Staff is excellent response and friendly.

Only major warning and complaint I would have is the hotel front desk charged a "deposite" on check in I thought nothing of it because its an international card. Luckily I was meeting someone who lives in China and when they found out they immediately got a refund. It was explained to me that deposites are not something that is done. This hotel was a great find! It is very affordably priced with a good location in Kunming. It is within walking distance of a metro station. The main negative feature was the surprisingly dirty carpets in the hallways for the rooms. The lobby area and most common area were all pristine. But, when we got off the elevator to go our room, which was also clean, I was a bit shocked to see carpeting that hadn’t been cleaned in a long time, with dirt stains all over the carpet. This hotel could be one of the best Sofitel I have had stayed. Staff were warm and helpful, Dennis at front desk even helped us packed some larger gift items we bought, breakfast was to die for, view of the city and the lake from our room at 37 floor was unforgettable, this hotel has its uniqueness, love our 4 nights’ stay, so enjoyable.
