"The majority of the staff were wonderful, always smiling and happy to assist with anything. The booking system is frustrating and does not work if you have multiple rooms/ booked with family. This proved to be THE most annoying part of the holiday and it spoilt some of our evenings when we had to argue for a table for 3 people even though we had requested and it had been confirmed! It's quite a noisy hotel, with boisterous activities during the day, every day, which if we knew, we would have chosen a different hotel. The evening entertainment was very repetitive over the 10 days we were there."

"I would highly recommend this hotel in Stone Town. It is a wonderful place to stay with very friendly staff and functional facilities. The breakfast is also decent too! Oh and the proximity to the ferry and most places. Nice gem."

"An excellent place to stay. Clean and comfortable with three swimming pools and a game room that had ping pong and foosball. Unfortunately, there can be some noise from a nearby hotel with live music, but it doesn't seem to last very late. The timbo hotel itself was quiet. The buffet breakfast was excellent with many choices for vegetarian and vegan guests including soy milk."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Turaco. The staff were very friendly and attentive, everything was clean and well maintained, and the food was delicious. There were different activities every day, from crafts and pool games to live music in the evenings. A lovely, relaxing atmosphere and a great place to spend a holiday. We would definitely recommend it!"
