Hotel Riu Palace Zanzibar - All Inclusive

"Our stay at Riu Palace Zanzibar was absolutely outstanding from beginning to end. This is truly a five-star resort in every sense. The staff is what makes this place so special. Every single person we met was incredibly kind, caring, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and it made us feel at home throughout our stay. The hotel itself is beautiful, modern, and impeccably maintained. The rooms are spacious, very comfortable, and spotless. The bed was excellent, housekeeping did a fantastic job every day, and all the common areas were always immaculate. The food was delicious. Although we weren’t able to try the specialty restaurants because they were fully booked during our stay, the Pomegranate buffet restaurant exceeded our expectations. There was a great variety of fresh, flavorful food at every meal. One thing that really stood out to us was seeing how much the hotel seems to invest in the local community by employing so many people. It was wonderful to see such a large, dedicated team, and everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there. Honestly, I can’t think of anything that needs improvement. We had no negative experiences at all. Riu Palace Zanzibar exceeded our expectations, and we would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing, luxurious, and memorable stay in Zanzibar."
Dream of Zanzibar Resort & Spa - Premium All Inclusive

"The best part about this hotel was that everything was all inclusive. Otherwise, it's a well-maintained hotel with few amenities and beautiful gardens, we stayed at the resort all day because it's a bit isolated from most of the activities. We enjoyed the food, although at some point we felt like the food menu was not changing much. Food was limited at the buffet. Otherwise, customer service was amazing."
Tembo House Hotel

"I stayed at Tembo Hotel for one night before my flight and overall had a good experience. I had booked an ocean-view room, but on arrival I was initially given a different room. After I pointed this out to reception, they promptly moved me to the correct room. The only downside was that the bathroom had an unpleasant smell that I couldn’t ignore. Since I was only staying one night and was exhausted, I chose not to request another room. They also forgot to spray my room for mosquitoes while I was out at dinner. When I returned, they quickly sent someone, but it meant I had to wait outside my room while it was being treated. This was a little inconvenient since I needed to pack for my international flight and get to bed early before my airport transfer. I also wish the beautiful swimming pools stayed open later in the evening. On the positive side, I really appreciated the 24-hour food service. Being able to pre-order a takeaway breakfast for early morning delivery to my room before heading to the airport was a thoughtful touch and made my departure much easier. Overall, I’d happily stay here again."

"Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The food was decent. The quality itself didn’t feel amazing. I think they missed chances for excellent dining such as carving tables or omelet station. They could’ve had more selection and it was difficult to get into the restaurants. The hotel itself is newer very clean and well-maintained especially coming from Stonetown. It’s perfectly nice for a Westerner. I wish there was more entertainment. There was some nights that there was basically no entertainment and there’s not a lot of amenities for entertainment such as multiple pool tables or club, etc. The overall vibe was laid back. The beach itself was nice with plenty of options for guests and multiple pools. There were a few kids and mainly travelers from Europe and South Africa. I thought security would stop local vendors from hounding you but they didn’t. Overall I didn’t regret my stay but I might look elsewhere next time."

"Great location right on the water. Very well priced for a great experience in Nungwi. Nothing bad to say about the place. Beds are pretty firm, but thsts pretty standard for Zanzibar and most Southern African places (that are not 5 stars and super expensive). Would definitely come back again"
