"What a thoughtfully curated hotel. They were extremely responsive and helpful with coordination of all travels and excursions. The staff were warm welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was memorable. They always had a smile on their faces. Special shout out to Raphael. Manages quality one day! "Location on Kendwa beach was the best! Beautiful swimming, restaurant with beach view and stunning sunsets right from your beach chair. You can walk to other restaurants and the beach was safe for walking. Patrols also ensured beach merchants did not get too close. Wifi was spotty at times. Room was comfortable, though sometimes AC would go out due to spotty electricity issues which is all over zanzibar so not the property. A wonderful and easy stay after safari!"

Tulia Zanzibar Unique Beach Resort

Pongwe

10/10 Excellent

We stayed at Tulia for 5 days following a safari. The resort was amazing but the best part was the staff. They did everything they possibly could to make our stay the best it could be. They were the friendliest, happiest people we have come across in our travels. The food was outstanding, with plenty of options. We had our flight get delayed and they allowed us to stay on property and use the facilities while we waited. They even arranged for us to shower in the spa before we left. One of...

The Island - Pongwe Lodge - Adults Only

Pongwe

10/10 Excellent

The island is chock-full if friendly and comforting staff members which truly elevate the unique experience provided by the island itself. The villas were extremely clean and we didn’t even encounter one big inside ours. The pool was a nice addition and just walking around being surrounded by palms, turquoise waters and silence was as breathtaking as it gets. To add to all this - THE FOOD was extraordinary. Hats off to the chef. We had 4 meals here within 24 hours time and loved each one! Thank...

- the communication with the hotel owner was smooth - there were no unpleasant surprises waiting for us - everything in other reviews was 100% correct - we were picked up from the airport - the beach bungalow was ready and always clean - the staff was very nice and helpful - the breakfast served at the porch (nice view of the beach) - the beach was clean and accessible right from the bungalows (low tide - nice walks, high tide - water was 3m from the resort) - food and cocktails were...

Sea View Lodge Boutique Hotel

Jambiani

10/10 Excellent

I have just returned from a seven day holiday in Zanzibar and can positively say that Sea View Lodge Boutique Hotel was excellent. Upon arrival we were instantly made to feel welcome by all staff. As this is quite a small boutique hotel, the manager was very interactive with guests and was very informative about things to do in the area and accommodated/organised any day trips etc that we were interested in doing. We had a lovely sea view room which was ample in size, had a good sized...

That is where the trouble began. We couuld not get to the Hotel as booked, arrived at 7:10 at night, no transportation, no hotel that night, stayed at the Airport in Zanzibar overnight, yet booked/confirmation at Pemba Lodge for the 26th of December. Lost days accomodation,...

Sunset Kendwa

10/10 Excellent

I absolutely loved my stay. It was spacious with beautiful palm trees at the lower area where my room was. English breakfast was served and the food orders took max 30 minutes. It was quiet, serene and the beach beds were not as crowded as the neighboring hotels. It has the best beach area that forms a beautiful pool during the high tide and it was never crowded. Staff were very helpful and payments were paid with card or cash in USD and TZS conveniently. WiFi was a bit weak in the room but...
