"We stayed at Casa do Cedro for two nights. The accommodation was excellent, breakfast was excellent and the views and swimming pool are breathtaking. Lots of free parking on the street. We were close to Monsanto by car which was our reason to visit the area. The town is quiet, in fact you don’t see people around. The only thing to remember is that depending on your travel date there may only be few options for lunch or dinner in the area."

"A great little rustic spot in the heart of rural Portugal! Owners take pride in their establishment and absolutely love, entertaining, and having guests. Very authentic Portuguese experience. This is a great location to explore the local castle & ruins and then a short drive to Monsanto 🏰"

"Our stay is n Monsanto was spectacular, and only made more special by our time at Casa de David. Our hostess, Estela, made every aspect of our stay easy and pleasant. The accommodation was perfection, as was the location. We will remember our stay in Monsanto with immense gratitude and fond memories."

"Staff was wonderful property was beautiful. The location was far from anything but very cool. The only issue was getting to a restaurant at night. Other than that it’s a great place to stay."

"It is a 1000 year old building, the host treated us wonderfully and we had a great chat in the bar. Much different than all the corporate owned hotels we stayed earlier in the week. There is a thermo springs a few blocks away."
