It is a hotel you will remember for a long time. The view from the balcony is magnificent. It is like watching a movie "Matterhorn" from the VIP seats. It is located very close to the Matterhorn Express station. You can walk to the center of Zermatt or take a free E-bus in a 2-minute walk from the hotel.

It’s a ski town, so expect it to be slightly dirty. Walls are very thin and could hear fellow travelers coughing throughout the night. Overall, it was a good stay. It did the job of giving me shelter for the night. 😊

Although not located centrally in the middle of Zermatt, it’s only a 8-10 minute walk from the train station. It’s got lots of charm (the decor is very traditional, a little bit “tired” looking but cute) and it is very clean in the most important ways (bathroom, linens, general spaces. Great hotel in Zermatt

A great hotel and even more amazing staff. Very accommodating and very pleasant. The rooms with a view of the Matterhorn are awesome. The hotel is only a block away from the Cable car and about a 15 min walk to the train station.

The pictures in their website does not give justice to the place. Yes, it’s somewhat old but it’s very charming, clean, nice bed, all is working great in the room and spacious for europe’s standard. There was no AC which we didn’t realize but it was on the 40s-50s at night so did not need one. Very quiet and about 10-15min walk from the center. It’s next to the glacier paradice cable station if you need it. The balcony was facing the matterhorn which was great with very less hotels or buildings anymore on the area so makes the view even better.

The hotel staff were excellent. Breakfast had many choices. Hotel location was fantastic. The spa area doesn’t open until 4pm. We had people with us that didn’t ski and they were not able to use the facilities in the morning or during the day. That was a let down.

View of Matterhorn is priceless

The hotel was not very convenient to the train when you have luggage. The hotel did not provide shuttle service. That was the only negative. The front desk, Marta (?) was so nice and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic!!! There were so many options and the staff was so friendly. The view of Matterhorn just can’t be beat. Also, there is a spa that has individual jacuzzis and warm stone loungers which were wonderful after long hikes. Would definitely recommend Hotel Antares!

The staff were wonderful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The hotel was in overall clean condition and a decent value. We we lucky and had a great view of the Matterhorn from our room. The morning breakfast was also quite good. We liked the location near the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise aerial cable car. The only negative is that the hotel clearly hasn’t had a refresh/update in quite a number of years. Other than that, we appreciated the stay and the staff especially.

The wellness/spa was incredible! The location to the main gondola was fantastic - was a 30 second walk which made life so easy. They have a ski locker room with boot warmers which was a great touch. Breakfast was really good, has a cool bar, and all the staff were so accommodating. It’s about 10 mins walk to the main shopping street, and the rooms with Matterhorn are just perfect.
