A must see- The best service and great location

Lovely staff, extremely helpful and nice. The hotel is great as well. We’re having a great time even with the worst flooding in the last 10 years.

We had an amazing stay! The service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly attentive and helpful with any additional requests we had. After a long day of skiing, the spa facilities were a perfect way to relax and unwind. The food was absolutely delicious, and the cocktails were just as impressive. We will definitely be returning!

Best location and warm service

Very good service! And excellent location - we stay in a room with magnificent view to Matterhorn from our balcony. (And nice photo with beautiful Gornaget train passing by too) Out of the entrance is Sunnegga station (so convenient)

Sabe quando voce chega em um hotel e é muito bem atendido desde o inicio, então aqui no National o Albano um portugues e o miguel nos atenderam espetacularmente bem, nos deram varias dicas sobre a cidade e ainda ganhamos um upgrade do quarto, o hotel fica bem ma frente do terminal sonnegga que parte para as pistas de ski, apesar de ser perto do terminal central eles tem um shuttle que busca e leva os hospedes, então ligue quando tiver chegando, cafe da manha otimo, quartos com vista para o Matterhorn, wifi bom, ski room excelente e ainda tem piscina termica e spa, sensacional merecem 10 estrelas

Dank des äusserst freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Personal fühlten wir uns hier wirklich willkommen und konnten unseren Aufenthalt voll und ganz geniessen. Die Lage unmittelbar bei der Sunegga-Bahn und nahe beim Bahnhof und Ortszentrum ist perfekt. Auch der Spa-Bereich ist top.

Schönes Hotel direkt gegenüber der Bergbahn

Wir hatten einen angenehmen Aufenthalt und kommen gerne wieder! Frischer Orangensaft beim Frühstück und eine große Auswahl, top! Wellness sehr schön, hervorzuheben ist die angenehm warme Wassertemperatur in allen Becken… Zimmer etwas älter und mit Teppichböden, hier könnte man eventuell etwas erneuern, ist aber nicht weiter schlimm.

Sehr veraltete und verbrauchte Ausstattung. In meinem gebuchten Zimmer, war sehr vieles defekt und verbraucht. Übernachte schon sehr lange und immer wieder in Zermatt. Erlebte so etwas noch nie. Der Teppich sicherlich schon Jahrzehnte alt Das Frühstück ist mangelhaft. Das Personal ist sehr passiv. Die Angestellten an der Rezeption sind sehr schlecht ausgebildet, und sprechen kein Deutsch. Der Übernachtungspreis ist keineswegs gerechtfertigt.

Some Good Some Bad

Hotel National is a nice hotel, with authentic Swiss elements, but there are multiple reasons that we would not return. First, there are better options at a lower price point (we stayed in one earlier in the week). Second, depending on where your room is located, the sounds of the train can be a nuisance. Finally, there were very limited dinner options as part of the half board package that are not conducive to the varying tastes of individual family members. The front staff were very nice and helpful, but in our experience there were simply not enough positives to justify the expense.

The sauna/spa area is excellent. There are saunas, steam room, a cold bath and more. Our room had a view of the Matterhorn and two nice decks which was great. Otherwise the room was adequate. Breakfast was OK. The omelets were fresh made but the crepes seemed pre-made. On our last day, we didn't have hot water.
