Beat the Summer Heat in your own 3 acre Forest!

Book now to beat the heat this summer!

If you’re searching for a mountain cabin get away experience, private and yet close to everything in Boone or Mountain City, TN you’ll find it and more at The Cozy Cabin on Silverleaf. Located on a private/gated and quiet road, the peace and tranquility of 3.5 acres of woods with hiking trails awaits your arrival.

Upon arriving, you'll pass a waterfall at the entrance to the driveway, after reaching the cabin, a wrap-around porch with rocking chairs will greet you where you can take in the beautiful elements nature has to offer no matter the season. On the side of the property you’ll find a fire pit which is waiting to be enjoyed.

As you enter the front door, you will encounter an open floor plan that includes a wood burning stove. The living room includes a futon and a Smart 45” TV which includes a subscription to YouTube TV as well as the ability to log into your favorite channels. high speed fiber wireless internet is also included. If you want to unplug and go old school, you’ll find games, coloring books with colored pencils and a deck of cards in the right side of the console (below the open shelving).

Upstairs you will find the master bedroom with a king size bed and a reading area.

If you enjoy creating culinary delights, the kitchen is equipped with a brand new stainless steel gas range with convection oven & air fryer option, fridge with ice maker, and is well stocked with all the utensils a “chef” needs. If you prefer to cook outdoors you'll find a gas grill on the porch.

One of the many wonderful attributes of The Cozy Cabin on Silverleaf is the privacy and yet it’s only 12 miles to downtown Boone (421 takes you straight to King Street/downtown Boone). Conveniently, 4 supermarkets and many restaurants are close by as well.

Golfers bring your clubs; the Willow Valley Golf Course as well as the Boone Golf Course are close by. If you enjoy fishing, the beautiful Watauga River and Lake Watauga are just a short drive away.

When you are ready to explore the area you will discover it’s a short drive to Boone, Blowing Rock, Beech Mountain, Sugar Mountain, Banner Elk, ASU, The Blue Ridge Parkway, Linville Falls, Linville Cavern, Virginia Creeper Trail and countless other attractions. Please feel free to look through the attraction brochures provided.

All of the roads are paved with the exception of Silverleaf (beyond the gate). Please drive cautiously and slowly on Silverleaf as the gravel roads kick up lots of dust which intensifies with speed. The full time residents are more than happy to help with information and appreciate respecting the rules of the road, so slow down and enjoy the view! 4 WD/AWD is strongly suggested year round and chains may be required in icy conditions during winter months.
If you plan on visiting during the winter, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation (and refund your deposit) based on winter weather warnings issued for the area as road conditions do become dangerous in the area during snow events.

It is our hope that you create wonderful memories during your stay and make plans to return.

WINTER BOOKINGS: We reserve the right to cancel your reservation if a Winter Weather Warning is issued to our area. The roads can become icy and impassable. Safety is our primary concern for our guests.

Very nice and quite. The fall foliage was beautiful. Short trip to Boone. The little restaurant just over the Tennessee boarder, Sharpies was very good. Had good home cooking nothing fancy but good. Loved our stay. We will be back.

Very cozy, private property. And only a short drive to area attractions. Well equipped with the basics. Love that it is pet friendly! The description of the property is spot on. Steep driveway but doable. Loved it!

This is an excellent cabin for a quiet vacation. It is located in a gated community in the mountains not far from Boone. There are neighbors but you cannot see them from the cabin. Guests definitely need a four wheel drive/AWD to get up driveway, or a good front wheel drive suv! There is also plenty of wildlife around, as we saw several deer and a bear. The cabin is perfect for a couple or single person wanting to get away and disconnect! Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

The cabin is as described - cute, clean and cozy. What we didn’t realize is that we’d be going in and out of the neighborhood via a long, dusty gravel road. The steep incline and sharp curve into the driveway could be a bit challenging. Also, the narrow spiral staircase to the upstairs bedroom must be navigated carefully- suitcases remained downstairs. For those who want a secluded, cozy stay in the woods, this place is it.

The Cozy Cabin was well kept and well supplied. We enjoyed our stay, especially the fire pit, the fire table on the deck (it rained a lot while we were there) and the gas grill. There was a deer that walked by every day that we enjoyed watching. The Cabin was clean and nicely decorated. Do be aware that there is a steep narrow spiral staircase to access the only bedroom. The small but attractive bathroom is downstairs so not convenient if you need the bathroom at night or like coffee in bed in the morning. The road and especially the driveway to the property are gravel and quite steep. We did not have a 4 WD vehicle, but wished we did. The entire property is steep, so even though you have 3 acres, its not very walkable.

Overall our stay was good. We were not provided with the gate code to the neighborhood. It should be included with the cabin keycode. Someone leaving the neighborhood gave us the code. Access with the crossover SUV we have was difficult. I did not see any warnings about a four wheel drive being best to drive the neighborhood road and especially to climb the driveway to the cabin. The cabin was clean but in the morning there were small black insects in the bathroom sink and shower.

My husband and I stayed for the weekend. The cabin was clean and cozy. It was rainy so we weren’t able to explore outside much, but we were able to find plenty to do in nearby towns.

The cabin was absolutely lovely! We were there on a rainy weekend, but it was the perfect place to relax inside with board games and puzzles. The fire pit and outdoor area was also beautiful. Highly recommend for exploring the Boone area.

We enjoyed the cabin very much. Nice and serene. Got to see some deer above the campfire. You definitely need a 4 wheel drive to get up the driveway. Very clean, top quality appliances. The staircase could be a challenge to those with bad knees. We will visit here again! Thank you!

A great location for our get away. Driveway was difficult in the rain, but we made it after shedding some weight from our vehicle. Didn’t see any soap for the shower, but we had some so it was okay! Just thought I saw it listed as provided. The bathroom cups and popcorn were a nice touch. Thanks for a great stay! So cozy.
