"I believe it was a hostel under start-up with improvement potential. The address was incorrect, half pension stated in the description (which we of course didn’t believe), shared wc and shower that was not stated in the description (we were the only guests this time so no problem), towels very small. The breakfast didn’t live up to even low french standard, 2 cold toasts and a black burnt croissant (not eatable, probably frozen and heated/defrosted on very high temperature)."

"Hotel , bar and restaurant all fantastic, the only problem was the air con, its not individual room to room, its on a mass comunal system and only goes as cold as they set it, i tried to turn it down to as low as possible (19°), but it just shut off, i asked at reception to be told its regulated by them. "Used the Hotel Aquarius as a base for our week, Wed to Wed, in the south of France. The main reason was to watch the rugby on the Saturday. The hotels is clean with a pool. The food and service was great for a 3 star and it even had a pool bar that was open 6 afternoons and night over our stay. The staff coped with our minimalist French and we really enjoyed our stay.
As a base it was great, close to the seafront and main bus route into Perpignan. This allowed us to explore Perpignan and get to Collioure, which is a picture postcard town further down the coast.
We may be back but that will be dependant on the date of next year's Game.

Breakfast was also a delight - very tasty homemade food, clearly all made from scratch.
