"Mar De Luz is always lovely. The staff always wonderful and the grounds are a tropical garden with beautiful birds and flowers. Close to the beach and everything in Jaco."

"We loved our stay at Tityra Lodge! The rooms were lovely and very clean, and the view was beautiful. Everyone was so friendly, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious. We’d happily stay here again!"

"Beautiful place and convenient location"

"Amazing room and amazing staff. So very helpful and informative!"

"First of all, view the stunning! I spent a whole morning sit at the swing and enjoy the view. It’s quiet and beautiful. Great place to relax. Room is spacious and clean. Jose, the owner is super friendly and helpful. Totally recommend."

"I want to preface this with, I am writing this solely based upon my stay at the property, not my interaction with Expedia. That said... Guests would be happy to know that despite the regular staff not being present after 5pm, there is a security guard that willingly will check you in and get you to your room. Speaking of the room, and I LOVE this part, there is ZERO internet access nor televisions present. We got metaphorically high off of the beauty of our immediate surroundings, the sounds of...

"Free fresh breakfast was local Costa Rican style with eggs, rice and beans, and cheese with bread. Served till 9. Air conditioner in the room worked very well. Staff was very attentive and helpful. Beds firm but decent. Grounds are like an oasis between the ocean and busy main street, where you can buy more refreshments and find many restaurants. Decent pool. Very local feel. Small oldschool hotel. Will return"

"No words I can write could ever do this place justice. The views are unbelievable and the amenities in the room go above and beyond expectations! There were umbrellas, card games, a telescope for looking at the stars, an outside lounge net, a hot tub on the balcony, and even the shower had a window with an amazing view! Alex was so welcoming and friendly! He recommended the best dining spots and brought us on a night-walking tour and a guided tour of the Monteverde Hanging Bridges!"

"It was fine, great experience"

"Had a hard time getting the shower to produce hot water"

"Great place to stay! Single rooms are perfect if you'd like to have your privacy and do not want to spend on Hilton :) You have your own little bathroom included. Kitchen is tiny but equipped enough for guests' needs. Reception staff is very helpful and will advise and organize everything you need during your stay in Monteverde. One of the best hostels I've ever been. Will miss that place!"

"This place was one of our favorites in Costa Rica. The views are breathtaking. The outdoor balcony with unique hammock, swing, and jacuzzi tub was our favorite place to enjoy morning coffee and their incredible breakfast! They provided cozy housecoats as well that keep you warm on the chilly mornings. Javier was amazing. So personable, thoughtful and kind. I loved all the small details put into the cabins and the cheery burst of color in the decor. The property is gorgeous and a great...

"Todo muy bien"

"I’ll be back next time I come to town"

"Great place"

"Our cabin was a small basic cabin with a kitchenette. The grounds were maintained well and there were some trails to walk. The property was in a gated area and a little removed from the road but we still could hear the road at times. We found a roach in the bathroom and some tiny ants on the kitchen table when we first got in our room."
