"The apartment was great, conveniently located for Newcastle City Center (within a short walk, or short hop on the Metro), Jesmond Metro station and restaurants and cafes in the local area. Check in via the adjacent Holiday Inn was quick and efficient and access to parking (free with the apartment!) was easy. "I arrived at The Grainger hotel with apprehensive feelings,after reading the reviews.I was pleasantly surprised by what I saw when I walked into the property.My room wasn't ready when i arrived,but to be fair i was quite a bit early.I only had to wait half an hour.The room was quite small but was very adequate for my accommodation needs.The room was clean and tidy and the staff were really helpful too.I will definitely be back "

"On entering the property we was greeted by the reception staff they were very friendly and helpful, they made our short stay feel at ease, had everything we needed and the owner was so polite even carried my bag upstairs and said anything we need just ask. Really can’t fault our room was lovely felt homely & cosy, the area was nice & quiet. Highly recommend this place. We had the family room as it was the last one left for us to book & was a great size room. 10/10 "

"There was a problem with a first room during first night in block 90. All night people were walking, yelling,floors were squicking, then at 3 am someone began dropping dumbbells on the floor ... But fortunately the hotel reception person switched us over to block 94 to the top floor and it was quiet and nice ,better shower room . "All en-suite rims are different. Heavy wooden bed, headboard and furniture. Small en-suite but fully functional and lovely shower. Will definitely stay again."

"Very handy for the Airport and there is a good breakfast menu and bar area. There are small pieces of paper at reception that have the code for the gate under the Doubletree ....."

"The rooms have all recently been refurbished to a good standard. The staff were friendly and helpful. The beds were really comfortable. Most rooms have walk-in showers. The only thing to make people aware of is that it's on a busy road but it's quiet overnight."
