"The Schafli is a companion hotel to the Hotel Uzwil which is a good 4*. Breakfast was at the Uzwil, a 10 minute walk but worth it as an above average breakfast in a lovely clean restaurant. The bedroom at Schafli was clean, good sized shower room and functional. No staff on site and seems to cater over business overnight customers. Very handy for the excellent rain service across Switzerland and cheaper than Zurich"

"We had a decent stay but there were some annoying things No kettle or coffee machine Hob took ages to get hot No dishcloth to wipe down surfaces No control for air on Could not get WiFi to work Could not get physical key set up Only mirror is in bathroom and not a full length Only 1 light switch for entire apartment Silly that they want you to pay for coffee in lobby Place is clean We heard the church bells but didn’t disturb us"

"Positiv: sehr sauber, freundliche Mitarbeiter, zentrale ruhige Lage, Parkplätze am Haus, vielseitiges Frühstück (für eine Jugendherberge). Negativ: Die schlechte Belüftung im Haus! Im Schlafsaal mit 14 Betten gibt es keine Fenster, nur verschlossene Oberlichter und einen Decken-Ventilator: stickige heiße Luft im Raum. Auch in den Sanitärräumen und im Speisesaal gab es zu wenig natürliche Belüftung. Schade!"

"Gleich im Nebengebäude gibt es eine Bar. Trotz geschlossener Fenster war es so laut, dass wir bis zwei Uhr morgens nicht schlafen konnten (und das Ende März, wo es draussen noch kalt war. Wie laut muss das im Sommer sein, wenn alle draussen rumstehen!!!). Frühstück war ok. Zustand des Zimmers (102) ist sehr alt, Vorhang verrissen und hing runter, Rolladenband war gerissen, die Badezimmertüre war verbogen und liess sich nicht schliessen etc. Immerhin war es sauber. Das nächste Mal werden wir...

"The Manager Dora was amazing! She really made us feel welcome and provided guidance for transportation, walks, food. She made our trip there so pleasant. The hotel is convienent to walk to/around the Bodensee. "
