"This is a clean, easy, super convenient location to Camp Blue Lair that is totally fine for what it is. Staff is really nice. Restaurant bar is cool. Price a bit higher but much better than staying in less convenient Twain Harte. In ski season this must be a convenient charmer. I recommend! "

"We're not sure how often the sheets get inspected and cleaned but the room we stayed in was dirty. When we flipped the flannel top over so we could sleep, we saw crusted white splotches all over. We couldn't see anything on the brown fleece but the flat sheet underneath had pubic hair on a few spots. We ended up using towels as pillow covers in case and our sleeping bag as a sheet. The hand towel was stained as well. The bed was stiff and kept us awake. It was already past their office hours...

Wood burning stove/ fireplace was nice touch for chilly evenings.Close to Murphys and The Calaveras Big Trees. We stayed for three nights and wished we would have stayed longer. "Good for 2 adults and one kid. The owner is very friendly and responsive. The 2nd floor is awesome with two large desks facing the outside, great if you need to work a little bit. We had lots of snow in the first two days! The first floor kitchen area is small and it is ok for some light cooking. But I wish the cookware was cleaner as there is.no dishwasher. Bathroom is awesome. The only complaint is that we had ants invasion problem but the owner was able to send someone to spay and help with...
