"Not the best welcome when we arrived. Breakfast better on 2nd day, ladies serving breakfast were lovely and friendly. Bathroom left a lot to be desired there was black mould on the walls, ceiling and shower. The toilet seat was loose and there were cracks in the porcelain. The bedroom curtains were mouldy and the secondary glazing was held open by a wooden block. Nice clean and comfy bed room of a good size."

I was advised it was shutting within 3 days so had to walk to sister hotel 5 minutes away for breakfast. Shared toilet and shower with 2 other rooms. Room very cold at night so cleaner gave me an electric radiator from another room. This property needs a lot of fuel Injection to bring it up to standard. Likewise, in the absence of wardrobes, options to hang clothes were limited; a few coat hooks on the walls would be a great improvement and take the pressure off the rack on the door. "We loved our stay here! Clean and had a great sleep. Brilliant price for somewhere to stay close to York. Carpark was a little full and some bad parking meant it was a space down, but not the owners fault. Highly recommend for an affordable cute little getaway! Would definitely return"
