"Very cool place to stay and friendly Staff as well!"

"Great communication before my stay, as I was arriving late. Instructions were left, and there were signs up the next morning allowing me to leave happily. I would stay again."

"Nice place to stay. We weren't there for long, only a night, but the staff seemed friendly and the room was nice"

"Piwaka Lodge is closed. We were moved to a 'sister' establishment. My ratings are based on that business. Owner and staff extremely helpful and friendly. Free breakfast was excellent. Our only real negative was the cleanliness which we found wanting. Great location near foreshore, town, bus stop and rental cars"

"Very sweet place."

"Good to stay with family, friendly staff."

"Room was great plenty of room and very clean"

"Great location nice clean spot"

"Great place to stay. Spacious and comfortable."

"Good value backpacker accommodation for Cook Strait ferry connection. "

"Great place to stay. "

"Interesting - no one there to check in or out. Just left key on counter for us. Nice and clean room, small and basic, but that’s all we needed for a short overnight stop. "

"Well equipped clean cottage. Would stay there again "

"The place was REALLY dirty and full of flies. It was full of long termers (really nice and friendly people) and it seemed fun place to stay if you were working somewhere close but as a traveller it wasn't so pleasant when the dorm room door was open and there were a lot of people from another rooms just hanging out. "

"We arrived and promptly welcomed by Arianne with a cup of tea and carrot cake - lovely touch. At the end of our day's walk, the hot tub was very much appreciated. Facilities are great. Best of all, Arianne and Victor are the best hosts. We will recommend to friends and would certainly love to return."
