"Lovely old ryokan in the heart of nara. Housemaster was very kind and room had everything you needed. The little bath house was amazingly clean and well kept for such a small place. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to visit nara who wants an authentic japanese experience "

"Severely outdated hotel. Most definitely NOT a family hotel as it is a "love hotel" and NOT safe for families. Entire room covered in yellow nicotine and the smell was horrendous. "

The location is great, but it is barely enough equipped, not very clean, and there is no other way than to disturb the host to get in the house every time you come in.
