"The hotel feels like a scam. Don’t go. It was dirty and filthy, with bloodstains on the curtains and a green, neglected pool. The price is at least five times too high for what you get. The place is very poorly maintained, and there were no other guests besides us. It seems they are just waiting to take advantage of unsuspecting visitors. The hotel does not match the photos shown on Expedia or similar sites. The building is very old; the shower heads were covered in lime scale, and the bedsheets...

Sea Sky Beach Resort

Phetchaburi

10/10 Excellent

The place is wonderful! Highly recommend. The individual bungalows are very comfortable, with good A/C, and Smart TV. Caters to mostly Thai tourists, so very little English spoken by staff, or the town; but we got by with sign language and online translation. Food is quite good, local fishermen also came to the beachfront selling their fresh catch. Blue crab is the local delicacy, they are very delicious! Note: unless you have your own transport, this town is not easy to get to, but totally...

10/10 Excellent

The maid can be rude. She sprayed copious amounts of disinfectant spray in my room, but not other rooms. It made me feel discrimination and seemed to imply that foreign people stink. I was having plumbing trouble at home so I rented a room for a week so I would have a place to shower. So it's not like I had stinky dirty clothes or durian in the room. I would come in the morning and shower then leave again. That particular day I had additional appointment so I returned to the room to take an...

Verano Beach Villa

Tha Yang

10/10 Excellent

This is a beautiful hotel with full service kitchen, nice pool, and very scenic view. However, it is very much an oasis in the area. There is NOTHING nearby, at least a 1000 Baht taxi ride. That said, the room was just perfect; clean with a full bath as well as shower, kitchenette, and great bed. The staff was SO friendly however, they don't speak English. Be prepared with translation if you need to interact much. The hotel's menu is -delicious- which is imperative, as there's so little in the...

Tontan Resort Cha-Am

Tha Yang

8/10 Good

Good for a one night stay while traveling but there were some serious limitations for a long term stay. First: limited in room amenties such as towels and no coffee or hot water Second: the towels were almost unusable because of age and there were only two bath towels and no others. Lastly: although the listing indicates a restaurant, there is none available. I tried to confirm this via a phone call before I checked in but the staff did not answer. I was able to use Grab but it was very...
