"Things didn’t start well when I arrived by motorcycle and was shoo-ed off from Hotel parking by a quite pushy hotel receptionist. We smoothed it over but it was a bad start
On seeing the room, at first I thought I’d found the bargain of the century but alas there were some drawbacks. The first was no air conditioning which in the current heatwave was a little uncomfortable. The second, and perhaps worse, was smelly bathroom plumbing which was quite off-putting.

"L’emplacement est parfait, en plein centre de Pau. C’est calme et sécuritaire, avec un bon accueil. La chambre est petite, alors j’ai dû déplacer les meubles que je n’utilisais pas pour créer un peu d’espace. On y trouve plus que l’équipement nécessaire, ce qui est, en soi, un vrai plus en voyage. J’ai apprécié le déjeuner inclus. Cependant, la sécheuse de la laverie ne fonctionnait pas. Heureusement, il existe d’autres laveries à proximité."
"The check in was good. Front desk has been helpful. The breakfast staff lady this morning was pretty crabby. If you are French you get to sit where you want. American not so much. Not helpful at all this morning. The gentleman at breakfast when we were done was nice.
Breakfast itself was not very good. Most of the selection was not hot just warm at best."
"We came into France on a whim during our road trip and staying here was a great decision! I’m laughing at how long it took us to figure out the blinds for the window, but the room was comfortable, cool, and everything we needed. After a long day of hiking and driving the hotel restaurant was convenient and exceeded all of our expectations. We also opted for the breakfast buffet, which was also wonderful."
"Continental is a reasonable standard hotel, room is just enough for the purpose, carpets needs commercial cleaning to prevent bad odours, staffs are excellent and they are visible and pleasant"
