The host was outstanding—they went above and beyond by personally walking me through the property to explain how everything worked, pointing out local attractions, dropping me off at the car rental agency, and being very responsive whenever I had questions or concerns. It’s rare to find such a committed and thoughtful host. On top of all this, the price was excellent compared to similar properties in the area. There are a few things to be aware of. The water has a moderate sulfur smell/taste, which is not uncommon in some areas but might take getting used to. The access road for the last quarter mile is quite rough—small cars may have difficulty with clearance, so I’d strongly recommend a rental car with higher ground clearance. Additionally, the nearest grocery stores and bars are not within walking distance, so having a vehicle is essential.
