You absolutely feel like you are going back in time. Would stay again. Also the walk down to the beach is worth the wee 2 minute walk as there are some amazing rounded beach pebbles to collect."

"A disappointing stay at the Northern Hotel. Room 111 had a strange smell when we opened the door. There was only a small window so the room was very dark. Bed was awful as you could feel the springs of the mattress and the pillow (only one each) was very flat so we didn’t have a good sleep. There were cobwebs on the walls and wallpaper was coming off the wall near the window. Toilet seat was loose. On the plus side the staff were pleasant and the evening meal was good. Maybe we were just unlucky and other rooms were okay."
