"We had a nice 2 day stay at the hotel. It is a grand old building with lots of character. The room was a nice size with a large bed and bathroom. Breakfast was fine although there was a slight wait for the full Scottish breakfast on the first day as the restaurant was busy although it was freshly cooked when it arrived. "Great location for the castle. Furnished to a very high standard. Staff very friendly. Food served in the restaurant was excellent. Hotel had only been open for just over a week so staff understandably still getting use to processes / facilities etc. A really comfortable and welcoming hotel. "

"Great price and room for the weekend. Only 3 dedicated parking spaces out front and if they're taken you have to move your vehicle every 2 hours around the square because of parking restrictions. Stairs and passages are tidy but could do with an update. Overall happy with the establishment."
