"I booked this hotel at a pretty good value. I wasn't expecting much, but if this was the price range of Daiwa hotels in other Prefectures, and if the quality is consistent then I'd definitely keep booking! "Decent budget hotel. Stayed 2 nights, the bed was hard. Parking is available right next to the hotel. Overall a good budget hotel. Great area around the hotel, lovely city to walk around! A lot of great sights (castle, parks, museums) onsen and cute cafes with amazing apple pies!"

Part cafe, part architectural design firm, Community Station KITAKITA is a beautiful renovated space.

The friendly designers make amazing coffee and have an abundance of information regarding the Kita Akita City area. Also the perfect spot to take a break and wait for the airport shuttle bus, which was what I was doing.

Location: Right across from Takanosu Station on the JR Ou Main Line.

"In Akita station, so as convient as it gets for Akita. Shopping is near, a wonder park is less than a kilometer west, and the trains don't get any closer. The bed was softer than average for a Japanese businesses hotel, but still very firm. Next time I'm in Akita, I'll most likely stay here again."

"Amenities are a bit minimal for women but very clean and quiet. It is located right cross the street from the station. The bed is a little hard for me. I loved the big community bath upstairs, used for several times. I would recommend you to go either early or later. I would stay again! "

"Room was small but functional for one person and one can easily open a large suitcase on the floor which is not possible for most of the business hotels in Japan. Despite being on the first floor (floor 2) there was no sound from outside (a car park), no sound from any neighbours. The onsen was a major highlight open throughout afternoon, night and early morning so one can avoid the crowds. I will definitely stay here again if I return to Akita."
