"this is a charming old building near the village center, but really only two star quality. We arrived at 2030 right after check-in time, and there was no clerk no staff in sight. We waited 10 minutes, then walked around the town. When we return, the receptionist was very accommodating. She made us some reservations for dinner and lunch the next day. The room was two flights of stairs with no elevator. The hallway was not clean, with cleaning carts and supplies stacked in the hallway. No coffee or shower soaps. The air conditioner was very difficult to operate and stopped running in the middle of the night. next morning we were running late because we didn’t sleep well. Checkout was 1100. At 11:10 and 1120 we got impatient phone calls from reception. Even though there was no cleaning staff on the floor. we checked out at 11:25 and again we’re lectured by the receptionist.
