"The Ibis Motel has very friendly staff who were knowledgeable and helpful about the surrounding area's highlights.
The Ibis's position on Hunter Street is close to the Newcastle Harbour and local pubs.
The land is flat and easy to walk to different highlights. room was quiet and clean."
"We had a pleasant stay at the motel for 3 nights, staff was helpful, room was nice and clean, will be good if there is a door on the shower, so the water doesn’t run out"
"The motel is fully self serve, and you need to download an app to check in. There $1 fee for the app. I've never had to pay a check in fee before, so it didn't feel great. The motel itself is old, with noticeable wear and tear throughout"
"Good for a one night stay and it was very affordable which is hard to find in Newcastle. The Wi-Fi worked well, had bench space for laptop, bed was good and the shower pressure was good."
"There are better options for the money close by. Cockroaches in room and bathroom, poor shower etc - other comments are accurate.
Bed was comfy enough, but that’s about it."
"The location is good and the room was very basic but okay. The amenities were very basic too. There was a smell of sewage in the ensuite and it was unpleasant. The property needs to be updated. It is okay and was suitable for what we required this weekend."
