"I was pleasantly surprised during our last visit to the Hotel. We used it as a halfway stop on the way back from Kimberly. The front-of-house was very friendly, good vibe in the restaurant/pub and the food was very good. One does have to realise it is a "vintage" hotel and if you would be so inclined, one could find fault everywhere. But I will definitely return again. The bedding was excellent and the bed massive! "A fantastic little farm off the beaten track in the Karoo. Rooms are spacious and well equipped with air conditioning and all the regular amenities. There is a lovely little swimming pool to cool off in and the farm animals around the rooms add to the charm of the place. The honesty bar is very welcome after a long hot drive through the Karoo and the food is delicious and plentiful. The only thing that could be improved is that breakfast should be included in the price as it’s not cheap...

"We arrived in a heatwave and were very happy to find an air conditioner in the main bedroom but the second room had only a ceiling fan. The rooms were clean and well furnished with a fridge, kettle, makings of coffee. Plenty of water and ample hot water for the three of us. In future, I would choose to eat in Colesberg, about 5 Kilometers away. Safe parking was provided and our bicycle stayed on the car."

"Clean and adequate accomodation with a comfortable room and a lovely pool and bar area. There were no amenities in our room when we arrived, not even toilet paper but this was quickly sorted out by staff once we notified them. Wi fi didn’t work throughout the stay. The bathroom is small with a shower only but adequate for an overnight stay. The pool was lovely and clean and the garden well kept. All in all a good option for a quick stay on the Jhb to Cape journey"
