"A fantastic hotel, full of art and incredible, but simple designs. The best and sensational fish and chips in town close by at «Stuen», also the best «Skilpadde, a local specialty pastry, at «Valderhaugs» close by. Breakfast good with smoked salmin and bacon available. Those two items are the lithmus tests of Norwegian hotel breakfasts. Good prices, nice rooms, smack in the thick of the city. Parking at 250 NOK a day. "

"Very good hotel with friendly staff and compared to other hotels reasonably priced! We had an accesible room which was very roomy. The free dinner during the week was discontinued for summer break which was a pity. There were dining options in walking distance where you got 10% off food. Breakfast was very extensive but if you came a little later, not all options were still available. Cleanliness was good except the floor of the breakfast room which was sticky all of the 3 days we stayed...

"Fin beliggenhet. Enkel innsjekk. Dessverre vi fikk rom ved siden av inngangsdøra. Det var varmt og vi kunne ikke åpne vinduene på grunn av røyklukt. Røyke plassen var rett utenfor. Det var alltid noen der som røyka til ut på natt. Det luktet mugg på badet og noe i leiligheten når vi kom. Vann renner ut fra dusjen. Soverommene er små, lite plass til å gå rundt senga. Det står lystette gardinen, men gardinen er for smale og dårlig montert, det var lyst hele natta. Lyset fra utelyset lyste også...

"Vi har bodd her før, og trives veldig godt! Betjeningen er så smilende og imøtekommende, og alt er rent og fint. God frokost. Kjøkken dersom du ønsker å lage egen mat. Mange fritidsaktiviteter å velge mellom, bla bordtennis, biljard og airhockey. Vi kommer tilbake!"

"We arrived just after the kitchen closed after having travelled a long way . Given it was my birthday I was hoping for a special meal . When I told the receptionist it was my birthday the chef said I will sort it for you . He prepared us a delicious meal of fish soup and king prawns and pasta with homemade butter . It was truly delicious and I would say Michelin star level . What a kind man . The breakfast was equally delicious with homemade muesli and homemade biscuits with the normal extras...
