We were very pleasantly surprised by our stay at Burg Colmberg. We had wanted a hotel with old world charm but were not expecting such modern amenities in the rooms, too! The setting itself is lovely and the castle is fun to wander through as there are interesting public rooms to explore. From the moment we pulled up, the staff was very welcoming and helpful. I stayed at the Landwehrbrau for two nights with a colleague of mine. We had an exceptional stay from the time we arrived until we departed two days later. THe hotel is located about 4 miles from Rothenburg and is central located to many tourist stops in the area. The dinner is not to be missed nor is the brewery tour and tasting (for 8Euros pp). I would highly recommend this hotel.

A great property easily accessible and convenient to sights in the area. While the property and rooms are pretty basic, it is very clean and has all the essentials and good amount of space. The high ceilings make them feel bigger. My only suggestion is to upgrade the mattresses as they are simply plastic covered foam pads. A perfect place for a night or as a base to explore. We loved both the hotel and restaurant! The dinner was exquisite, and they were so accommodating to us with our two year old (tons of toys for our daughter to play with at the restaurant!). And the breakfast in the morning was just delicious. We were so sad to leave!

Great location! Rothenberg is not a easy place to park and this hotel has parking spaces which makes visiting Rothenburg for more than a day trip feasible. Friendly staff, really felt like we were guests visiting friends and family in their home, not a hotel space or generic feeling. Very quaint and lots of character. Would stay here again. Wish we would have stayed longer!

We were greeted by the staff member who was very sweet and walked us through the lobby and restaurant, as well as the after hours entry just so we could find our way. In addition, it’s a very easy walk to the town center and very convenient. They also provided a treat for my dog which she loved. I would recommend this hotel and hope to return.

Our stay was amazing! This was our favorite place so far in Germany! The staff made us feel at home, breakfast and dinner were excellent, and the place is so clean and beautiful! We hope to come back and stay here soon!

Very cool place

Excellent stay in the chalet apartment, fully equipped and spacious. Breakfast in the garden was fantastic and all the staff were friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Rothenburg o. d. Tauber is a great place to visit and this hotel was located on the street where you enter from the train station, so it is very easy to find. And also about three stores from the square which is a great location for exploring. It was clean and quiet and had a great free breakfast.
