"it’s a very pleasant hotel to stay at in a beautiful area. Great garden and hotel surroundings. The breakfast was great and the rooms were always very clean. The bathrooms need improvement as they are 3 star quality rather than 4. The service at the breakfast need improvement too. I saw guests chasing the staff to order eggs etc as they seemed too busy to take orders etc "

"Loved that it’s in a vinegar, with access to hotel chain’s own winery and wines. The winery visit was short and very informative. We didn’t do the tasting because we already know the wines, so we just did our own Port tasting at the bar (no tastings available, have to visit the Porto location). Breakfast was delicious and included. The omelette station was great, excellent service. Had dinner both nights at the buffet but one night was great, the next the food was not hot. Tudo é bom aqui, desde as amplas e equipadas casas, super confortáveis, ao espaço exterior, sossego, comida entregue a porta de casa pelas sempre atenciosas funcionárias que não deixam que falte nada. Mais, venho com o meu cão, de porte grande, e também ele adora o Monte. Tem bastante espaço para correr livremente e é muito bem recebido. "

"Le séjour à été agréable. L'accès au site est quelque peu difficile car pas de route à proprement parlé on peut plutôt parler de chemin. Cependant après avoir traverser cela vous vous retrouvez sur un site calme où le repos est de mise. L'accueil est très agréable et de très bon conseils. Le petit déjeuner est du "fait maison" c'est un délice! Si vous souhaitez du repos il faut aller là!"

"We stayed here for 2 nights and it was alright for what we needed it for. Nothing special. We didn’t realize just how in the middle of nowhere it would be. It’s quite remote and the country roads to get there are a bit tricky to navigate at night. We were exploring comporta for the two days that we were there but it’s about a 40 min drive so if you’re thinking of exploring comporta just keep that in mind. Also, there are no doors in the bathroom which we did not enjoy. Lastly, the room itself had some things that needed fixing. For example, the bottom of the door was completely falling off and the floor which is made up of some type of cork looked like it needed a refresh - it was stained on multiple areas. The breakfast included was also just ok - the eggs were cold and so was the bacon. We got to breakfast at 10 AM so I guess if you’re an early riser it might’ve been warm but they could also invest in better equipment to keep the food warm for the rest of us that are jet lagged and not up at the crack of dawn. Overall, it was just an ok experience. "
