"The room was super comfortable and roomy. The soaking tub in the bathroom was amazing because you could have it hot all the time. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. You should note that some of the rooms are not close to the soaking pools or the restaurant. You have to go through a locked door to the street, walk for 5 minutes, enter another building for the soaking pool and restaurant. "Highly recommend it if you’re looking for a relaxing staycation. It was my first time visiting Takayama and Fujisan Onsen. The commute was a bit long, but still manageable. The hotel was quiet and comfortable, especially since it’s adults-only, and we really enjoyed having a private onsen in our room. The food experience was also amazing and I absolutely love it."

"A really old-fashioned Japanese onsen experience like nothing else. We ate in the Japanese restaurant one night and French the other evening. The food was fantastic. Rooms were comfortable but old fashioned. I would highly recommend the room with a private onsen - we saw tanuke (Japanese raccoon dogs) approach whilst we were bathing which was a really special experience. We hiked to the ridge (5 hours return) through a beautiful forest."
