"Really nice well run hotel. All staff friendly and attentive. Fantastic evening meal and equally as tremendous breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable, bathroom modern and clean with a nice hot shower. We were on a motorcycle, so were particularly pleased by the large flat tarmac secure car park at the rear with an entry barrier. They have a cosy bar area too, so you can have a drink before or after dinner, plus some outside courtyard seating if the weather is good. Good local beer on tap....

"The Glengower is excellently situated, right on the promenade/beach. It offered a full hot breakfast and the pub itself offers a large and sophisticated menu. Everything we tried over the 3 days we were there was excellent. The parking may be a bit if a problem as the promenade road is very narrow but we found a good spot in the end. The room we had was comfortable tho a little tight.. the staff and service was excellent. We unfortunately did not have a sea view, but I will definitely suggest...

"The Plough is fine. It is looking a bit dated and in need of refurbishment. The rooms are spacious enough and the aircon works well. I stay in a lot of hotels and think the Plough is overpriced for what it offers. That’s probably why occupancy was quite low during my stay. At dinner the waitress spilled wine over one of the diners at my table. The waitress didn’t know what to do and laughed, probably in embarrassment. She evidently needs retraining on how to deliver service properly."

"The hotel was exactly what we needed. Mac (host) was helpful, breakfast was perfect and the hotel was dog friendly too 🐾 Great outside space too. Minor issue was that the bar was not open (but we knew that when we booked)"

"I would give it 10 out of 10 and rather wish we had our last night here rather than our first night as where are staying now feels very mediocre compared to the New Red Lion. We will definitely return. Everything was superb. "

"Beautifully decorated b and b. Bed and bathroom perfect. Lovely breakfast and we were welcomed with tea and cake. We were cycling and there was a place to store the bikes. Really great hosts. Hope to be back to stay longer . Thanks "
