"My first time staying in The Alan, Manchester. Judging by the impressions of my stay it won't be my last. Beautiful large room on the 1st floor, great breakfast, modern vibe, excellent location on Princess Street, friendly/helpful staff and reasonably priced."

"Great location and room was nice and a good size. The staff were helpful and looked after our bags both before and after check in. The hotel was very busy due to the Take That concert so check in took a while. The main downside to our stay though was that we couldn’t have breakfast as the queue was huge and too long."

"The room was excellent and quiet. I slept well which is a huge compliment to the hotel, as that’s rare for me. Very comfortable bed with perfect linen. The bathroom suffers from design faults but was fine. For example, you can’t reach the bath taps, once you are lying in the bath. But the bath and shower and availability of of hot water was excellent. The breakfast service was poor. The tea water (self-service) was lukewarm and there was no oat milk. Staff seemed overwhelmed.
