Learn more about Palau

Nestled along the Costa Smeralda, this charming port town invites you to explore the distinctive Bear's Rock formation that towers over the landscape. Spend your days hopping between La Sciumara and Porto Mannu beaches, then wander through the historic streets of Palau vecchio as evening falls.

Translated into English as Cape of the Bear, this significant outcrop of rock eroded by the wind is a tourist attraction on Sardinia, an island so different from Sicily or the mainland. Its influences have been from different places than elsewhere so you'll find the Renaissance missing here and more accent on natural features. A great place for hiking.
