"I arrived on a Sunday and had sent a message several days before to say that I would like an evening meal. I went to the dining area at 8pm only to be told that the kitchen had closed for the evening so I was unable to get anything to eat that evening although I was offered crisps. On arrival I was told that the bar would be open until late so I assumed that I would be able to get a bar meal up until about 10pm. "We stayed at the beach house in a room with an outdoor tub. Not worth the extra as it’s so big it would take all day to fill ! Also no real view as only looks out onto woodland 🙁
Bed v comfy and bathroom roomy and lovely towels .
It’s a 3/4 min walk to the main house for breakfast( plentiful) and dinner (expensive).
It’s a shame the outdoors is not being well maintained as it’s only been open17 months, plants are dying, weeds growing ,patios grubby and parasols broken 🙁

"The facilities are being added to : restaurants etc. our room, themed room: Cape Town was decorated to good standard. The best breakfast, parking and access was very good. Staff were cheerful and very helpful. It was great experience and would go again Thanks to all the staff."
"Very clean free tv plus Netflix Bill was available by phone plenty of tea coffee etc shower gel towels location 10 minutes walk to town centre Bill provided us with parking permits for our stay. The only down side being in our 70 s which we should have realised when we booked was we were in the attic bedroom lots of stairs

"Lovely country hotel with large garden and free parking. Our room had a comfortable bed,fridge, fan and tv . The bathroom was clean with extra large towels. We ate at restaurant for 3 evenings. Menu had a good choice of meals and food was lovely. Restaurant was very busy so pre booking advised. We had a great breakfast each day with hot and cold selections. Bus stops outside to Whitby and Saltburn which was a bonus. Lovely hotel with wonderful staff and we would definately stay again"

The Bella Rose coffee shop was used throughout our stay & the staff were very welcoming & accommodating. The 15% discount was used each time we ate there which was a bonus as thought it might be a one-off.
Peasholm Park on the doorstep was a huge plus too!
My only criticism of our stay was that I made the owners aware that I was allergic to fur & feathers beforehand & I particularly queried any cushions...
