"Staff was rude and threatened to kick me and my service animals out because a maid came in without knocking at like 4pm and said I wasn’t there but I was in the shower, the room was not cleaned properly before I arrived, I was given a 100$ fine for dog poop when that is impossible as I checked the room 20 times I literally have ocd and ptsd , horrible staff , I’ve been to most of the frank hotels and never had this problem , I think this place should be shut down. "

"Staff was rude to me because I had a service animal and came in my room without knocking and accused me of leaving my dog alone when I was in the shower which is confusing , I was charged 100$ fee for dog poop and I know for a fact that was completely made up , I have ocd and ptsd and I checked the room and even cleaned up most of it myself, no dog poop but I was charged 100$ , they threatened to kick me out for having my service animal , the room was dirty when I first arrived but I let that go, horrible experience and I have stayed in frank hotels many times and never had a single issue until this. When I called about the 100$ fee that was given to me for no reason they said the manager isn’t there but she never leaves and were rude to me again. "

"Breakfast was packaged pastries etc. The person checking us in said the hotel isn't affiliated with the bar, but then they said they were the one running bingo night over at the bar. Two free drinks are two free bottled waters; however, we still did not receive those even upon request. This was our third stay and we miss the experience we had the first time we stayed. Room was clean."

"While the location is ideal and close to everything. The room was quite dirty, including thick dust on the fan, tv and heater. The bathroom was in awful condition, with large patches and f missing paint and caulking. There was a warning that stated the steam from the shower would set off all alarms facility wide. There was a pool area, while great to have an indoor heated pool, had multiple areas with mold, missing caulking and most importantly, the MOST slippery floor I’ve ever experienced. Multiple fell on this floor. NONE, by running. This is very dangerous. Lastly, while there was ample parking, the layout design for the parking lot is awful at best. Overall, calling this property a “resort” is a stretch. The quality does not support the claim."

"I liked the fact that it was pet friendly, and that our cottage had its own little yard for our puppies. They also have a little breakfast place out front which has the most delicious biscuits, and brought us our favorite breakfast one morning. The cottage is compact, but still had ample space. Also, it’s conveniently located."

"Had so much fun during our stay at The Shack! It’s so close to town and beach access, we had fun with the ping pong/pool table as well. And the book collection in the shed area made me never want to leave. We had a lot of fun with the Where’s Waldo books (: "
