"I arrived to a shabby run down hotel which charges over £7 for parking (not made clear when booking). Whilst asking about this another guest at reception was asking for her room to be cleaned, another asking for a shower mat. I decided I did not want to stay in a dirty room, paying more than expected and have been advised I can be refunded. I went to another hotel instead. "

"The hotel has an impressive exterior and interesting period decor. We upgraded to a superior double room, but it was disappointing: the heating didn’t work, and the TV signal was unreliable. Parking was challenging, and one staff member at breakfast was rude. Upon returning from a day trip, we found our door left open, putting our belongings at risk, and our room had not been serviced or restocked despite reporting it. A lovely building, but service and maintenance need improvement."

"Selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the room. The room was clean and had everything that we needed. The location was ideal for where we needed to go and it was just a few minutes walk from the train station. The staff were lovely from the moment that we got there. They were so welcoming and friendly."

"The Bridge is a lovely place to stay and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. It was nice to have windows that open properly - and onto the river which is pretty. Easy parking and a good breakfast. Highly recommended."
