Peaceful time in the country.

Great peaceful location in the country. We used the location as a base for visiting nearby Bardstown.

The cottage is adorable, as advertised, but the mattress is not comfortable, and the bed pillows are too full and firm (woke up with a sore neck). My ratings would be much better with a new mattress and pillows.

This rental was my favorite that I’ve ever visited. I loved the country style. The interior was quite unique, what with the beautifully stained concrete floor, the wooden slats covering portions of the walls and kitchen island, the quaint rocking chair beside the fireplace and splashes of marble adorning areas of the floor and wall. The kitchen was fully equipped. Regardless of the lack of a stove, no cook would be unable to make delicious meals. There was an electric griddle, hot plate, electric skillet, toaster and toaster oven, microwave, crock pot, griddle and coffee pot. Ample dishware, silverware and cooking utensils accompanied the plethora of cookware. Bon appetit!The tiny dining room held a little, square old-fashioned wooden table with retro chairs. These pieces of furniture were nestled beside a large window to view the fields while eating or playing the many games made available to it’s occupants. Sitting on the porch in the cool early morning wrapped in a blanket sipping a hot cup of tea while gazing out onto the fog covered meadows was calming and breathtaking. The picturesque landscape left us in awe of nature’s beauty. Peace and quiet abounded and helped us take life slow and easy. Missy was fantastic. She was always available and helped us from everything to finding an eating establishment to handing me dryer lint to start our fire!This place is absolutely “adorbs” and I recommend it to anyone wanting to breathe in the beauty of a simple existence.
