Builditplace! Kid friendly Stay, Play and Create!

Welcome to Builditplace, a family getaway that celebrates the endless possibility and creativity of brick building. Come retreat to our cozy 2 bedroom, 1 bath home and rest from the stress of the grown- up world by letting your imagination take shape one brick at a time. Take inspiration from our sets, scenes, and idea books; and embrace the spirit of play by diving into our bins of loose bricks to create your own masterpiece. We have bricks of varying sizes to accommodate kids of all ages, but play (and step) at your own risk.
When play has you worn out, our 2 bedrooms comfortably sleep 5 guests. Building is encouraged in the bunk room, but the master should remain a sanctuary from those loose pieces looking for the unsuspecting foot.
We hope you’ll come play well, sleep well, and stay well at Builditplace!

Great for families

We loved the “Lego house”! The kids were wonder struck by all the blocks (of all sizes) and the Lego decor. Parents appreciated the cleanliness, comfy beds, and thoughtful touches like the built-in potty seat and first aid kit. Great location with a nice view out back and easy access to stores and restaurants. Definitely a 10/10!

LEGOS

The house had all we needed and was a nice place to stay... and FULL of LOTS of Legos! My kids were in heaven. I was blown away at how much Legos was tied into everything around the house

Fun unique vacay experience

What a fantastic place!! Our children loved it from the moment we arrived, and we instantly had an hour of peace while they built Lego creations in their room. The kids honestly wanted to stay at home more than they wanted to go out sight seeing! The house was a perfect size for our family on a weekend getaway, and so nicely decorated. It feels like you're in your own personal Lego museum. The hosts were very gracious and added little extra touches to make sure you have what you need during your stay. If we didn't live so far away, we would definitely come back yearly!

Perfect place for kids!

We have a teenager and a 6-year-old who both loved this place! There were so many legos to play with, and not just bricks. Mini figures. A ship. Interesting bases. Wheels. Even the decor was Lego! Lego creations in glass cases. Lego art on the walls. The tissue box was also made of legos. We came up from beautiful sunny florida and spent an extremely cold few days with family for Thanksgiving. It was so nice when we came back to this property after a long day of socializing and could just watch our kids unwind and play, my 6-year-old said, “I wish we lived here!”

Family friendly duplex, just as listed! Owners are very responsive to any needs. Chinckens were a nice bonus, but beware the rooster. Well lit area right off the main drags, but not terribly busy. Small front and back patio to relax in the sun as well.

This property was the cleanest property we’ve ever stayed at! Location perfect we stayed for five days for football tournament at the Hall of Fame! Property was convenient. It was helpful to have washer and dryer to wash the boys uniform.Highly recommend!!!

Perfect little house

This was a perfect house for us to stay while in town for a family wedding. The house was very clean snd had everything we needed. All the legos were a big hit with my 2 year old but the chicken in the backyard were a great surprise! He really enjoyed watching them. The owners were very accommodating to our needs. Will definitely stay here again if we are in Akron.

Small kids visiting nephew for birthday

Our stay was short but enjoyable. The littles loved the legos and the place was comfortable and enjoyable. We would definitely stay again when coming to visit cousins.

Hall of Fame

Came with a toddler for the NFL Hall of Fame, was easy to get to and from. Chickens were a fun bonus. Loved all the toys and decor.

A great time!

My family loved this little get away! It was very clean and comfortable. Everyone slept great. As a mom of 2 year olds, I appreciated the motherly touches (I.e toddler toilet seats, small tables, flat bed). The legos were a big hit!! We call it the Legoland house. Thanks Jason & Katie!

A great kid friendly stay!

My husband and I stayed here with our three sons, ages 6, 5, and 3. It was just about perfect for us! The hosts were responsive, and there were ample linens and plenty of cookware in the kitchen. The space was clean and comfortable, and there were several kid friendly touches, such as a potty seat and plastic dishes/silverware that we really appreciated! We like to travel with our kids, and finding a truly kid friendly rental is not easy - but this one sure fit the bill! They all thoroughly enjoyed playing with all the legos - my oldest said he wished we lived in a "lego house" too. If we ever return to the area, we would stay again!
