We found the home to be very clean and things were as expected. It took us about 5 minutes to get into Alamosa. The property that the trailer is on is not super well kept but the house is. I wish the bed in the master bedroom would have been a queen bed instead of a full and had more comfortable sheets. The kitchen and bathrooms were nice. The living room is really comfortable. The host responded to us very quickly when we reached out to them during our stay.
Everything was as advertised. The house was clean and our host was very responsive.
We visited the Sand Dunes, hot springs and even the Alien Watchtower. The house was conveniently located to each of these. It is just a few minutes from the town center: restaurants, Walmart, gas stations, etc.
The weather didn't cooperate with us, we didn't get to do any star gazing. I wouldn't hesitate to stay and try the star gazing again.
In the country but less than 10 minutes from downtown Alamosa. Beautiful night sky and very clean with all amenities (except I couldn’t find a hair dryer if there was one). Super great host! Very responsive and helpful! Beautiful views in both directions! Not much for outdoor space but we were ok with that. Great WiFi and smart TV!

The appeal of this location was to see stars, but the weather did not cooperate, which was of course not the owner's fault. However, the home itself had some issues. I did not get check in instructions and had to email to owner. I finally received the check in instructions 10 minutes before check in. I was already trying to figure out alternative locations but did end up checking in. The home is located down two dirt roads. The refrigerator shelves were clean but there was a lot of food on the door, including a bag of garlic that smelled very strong every time I opened the door. The refrigerator did not keep things very cold. There were plates and glasses but no bowls. I would say that the home was clean and the beds comfortable. There were also those plug in fragrance things that smelled so strongly that we had to put them outside. It almost seemed like someone lives there and just left so we could stay there but I couldn't tell. There was a lot of stuff in the closets. If you want a remote and rustic stay, this may be for you.
