Overall, my stay was way below my expectations. Traveling all day I needed to shower, within minutes of stepping in, I was standing in 3 inches of water that took quite some time to drain off. The chair was dirty and stained forcing me to sit in a very uncomfortable bed to watch television. I have Stayed at La Quinta in the past but this property was way below the standards I remember.
Everything was great...until I tried to get coffee in the morning to get on the road quickly...with two employees wandering in the breakfast area, how could two empty coffee dispensers (with level windows) go unnoticed when coffee is the greatest consumed item in the breakfast area.
Did not openly disclose that I "needed to be 21" to stay at the property. Giving me a hard time. They state they "let it slide". I have stayed In Albuquerque on numerous occasions before this, being under 21.
The hotel room did not look like the pictures. The walls looked damaged and needing new paint. The base boards in the bathroom were getting damaged and did not look like they had been tended too. The hotel across the street looked like it was in better condition.
The only uplifting thing about the property was the convenient location of Denny's, Cracker-barrel, and Whataburger, all being within the same proximity of one another.
The room was’nt clean even their towels. If you’re running out of budget this one is probably your last option. Or else find at least decent one with the same price. Im pretty sure they have bed bugs also. Just sitting on bed got itchy and see bed bug bite. The good thing is they have iron and I ironed our beds and sheets. Positive side their beds are comfortable if you have back pain.
Upon arrival we were told there was no refrigerator in the room because I am on insulin. I needed to store it in a refrigerator. I had to keep getting ice and keep my insulin on ice even though they offered to store it at the main office. I’m trying to reach the main office. You couldn’t get an answer. The sink was clogged upon arrival and they did come quickly to fix it. However, dust on the lampshade. The room was really musty like nobody had been in it. Linens were clean, but had mosquitoes and you don’t want to see the vents from the air conditioner, they were filled with dust …dropped our phone under the bed and it was coated and dust when we moved the dresser to plug in the refrigerator that did not workthe floor was disgusting underneath. Extremely unhappy as the pictures did not portray a valid picture of this property. This was certainly not worth what we paid over 1000 for 4 nights was a rip off!!! exterior of property was sad and unmaintained. There was glass or plastic all over the parking spot in front of our room as photographed I would give this place a one out of 10 only because the linens were clean and fresh.
I liked that it had a good size refrigerator and plenty of outlets. The front desk clerk who checked me in was very nice and so sweet. I don't remember her name.
The floors were dirty and shower had mold. The water had pressure then no pressure. The water did not go down the drain right away.
It was late when we arrived to the room and were waking up early to go to the Ballon Fiesta. I didn't call the front desk. It was 4:00 am when I called the front desk to checkout. We couldn't get another room due to the horrendous being booked. I did mention the issues with the room. He informed me I had to speak to Expedia. I spoke with someone yesterday and wasn't happy with what I was told in regards to my issues with the room. I was disappointed and do not intend to use Expedia again.
The property was very run down and outdated. No USB plugs in room. Curtains all ripped up and not hung properly and not functional. . bathtub was very old and you could not adjust water temp. Outside was trash everywhere and old mattresses laying on rhe ground next to the dumpster. Sidewalks all cracked up and not swept. Definatly not woth the price.
The room was very unclean and unsafe. Bed linens were dirty and had hair in the bed, parking lot felt dark and unsafe. Room smelled like smoke, floors were dirty. I would not recommend this place. I’d give it zero stars if allowed.
We had bugs and smoke smell in the room. We switched late at night from a king to a double bedroom. Then the locks on that room didn't work that evening and the next morning. The only offered 25% room discount.

The room was clean. But front door looked like it had been broken into. Refrigerator had no shelves. Coffee maker was for one cup but had individual bag for 4 servings. I won’t stay here again.
Property is very tired and needs a lot of work to bring it up.
This is a Wyndham property and very disappointing. It needs a major remodel. And for $250 a night you expect more from a Wyndham property.
Last time I will be booking with any Wyndham property go forward.
Wyndham has disappointed me twice in the last three months one in California and now here in ABQ.
Staff was accommodating and pleasant and helpful.
The property needs renovations badly, well used. Very trashy on the outside, grounds not as maintained as they should be. Rooms had clean sheets but mattresses were well used and dirty. The back of the door was filthy with handprints and grime and you can see daylight under the door on both sides. Not to mention key cards (all four cards) did not work as they should , causing several walks to the office to get fixed. AC was fine. Disappointed. Overpriced. The lady at front desk was very nice and helped when she could.

It is a good location for the balloon fiesta. They have washer and dryer available. The shampoo and conditioner are too small to actually use for one person, bring your own. Coffee had been splattered by the sink but not cleaned. The bathroom was redone but the bathtub mat was old.

The room was neat but floors had grit. Shower was a JOKE, hot cold hot cold -water pressure was off & on along with this running together, it was impossible to take a decent shower. You can imagine how we hopped, skipped, & jumped to wash & rinse the bare minimal. Also, I'm not sure if the air turns off & on by itself, but when we came back to our room 4 hours later our air had been turned OFF. I'm just glad we only had to sleep there for two nights. The first night we got in really late, so we didn't realize that we had to DANCE for our shower.
Thank you for asking about our stay. I know that only 3% of people leave a good message . This is not a bad message, it's the truth & maybe the owner will learn from this.
The pool looks like a swamp. The bed sheets were dirty. My little towel in the bath had feces on it and it was folded to where I wouldn’t see it until I was in the very low water pressure shower. Two shampoos were given with no conditioner. I just needed a five hour stay and a shower but I was only able to sleep for two hours.
It was a nice room and the bed was comfy but the pillows were too bulky.
I also felt there should have been a ceiling light. Other than that is was a
nice room. I didn't stay for breakfast.

Refrigerator didn't work. Pool not open. Breakfast selection minimal. Ok for the price but was disappointed. Room was large and renovated. Bed comfy.
One of the worst we encountered. We can't wait to get out of the place, didn't even have coffee in the morning. It gave me a bad image of La Quinta Hotels.
