Alert Bay is on a small island. The facility is centrally located with a restaurant and is adjacent to the RCMP station, liquor and grocery store. The amenities are great for families and it also has a beautiful view of the ocean. The owners were very accommodating and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

Alert Bay is a very nice very scenic costal community with lots of history. Gordie’s is right in the middle of it all, right on the water with excellent views of the ocean, sunsets are incredible. Food at the restaurant…the seafood linguine was amazing, sooo good! The room didn’t have a TV but who cares, things to look at were everywhere

Lovely room. Walkable to everything. The town is very quaint. It even had flags on the lampposts celebrating this year's highschool grads. Quite adorable.

Very clean and quiet. Comfy beds including the futon. Excellent pillows. I’d have wished for another handtowel and washcloth for the third guest. Somehow we couldn’t get the lights in the bedroom to stay lit? But it was easy to open the lockbox on the door and the view is glorious. We’d stay again. Gilakasla.

We had a problem at the start- the instructions to access our room referred to a name, but there were only numbers. Once we worked that out- all was good. I'll bet that won't happen again! The suite was great- wonderfull location, view of the bay, new boadwalk etc. Kitchen worked well for us, the bed was comfy, the dishes and decor had lovely NW theme- an homage to U'mista Gallery (don't miss it!)

Our stay at Gordie's Inn in Alert Bay was absolutely wonderful. Alert Bay is a remote and beautifully under-developed island community – embrace its rustic charm and stunning scenery. It's a quiet, picturesque seaside town filled with genuinely warm and friendly locals, which is a huge part of its appeal. Gordie's Inn itself was the perfect base. It's extremely well located to take advantage of everything Alert Bay and the surrounding area have to offer. Room Details: The unit features one comfortable double bedroom and a separate living area with a comfortable pull-out sofa. This setup easily and comfortably accommodates up to 4 guests. Everything was clean, tidy, and well-equipped. Safety & Comfort: The unit layout includes 3 or 4 steps leading from the main living area down to the kitchen and bathroom – something to note for accessibility, but it posed no issue for us. Importantly, the front door locks securely, providing peace of mind. Just to note, we didn't find a lockable safe on the premises. Reassuringly, the RCMP are stationed on the island very near to Gordie's Inn (not that we had any need for them!). Combined with the genuinely friendly and kind locals, despite the remote location of Alert Bay, we felt very safe and completely at home. We loved every moment... Highly recommend!
