The bedrooms include a king-size with en-suite shower and a twin with en-suite bathroom. To the outside there is a patio with furniture and barbecue, along with off-road parking for 2 cars. One well-behaved pet is welcome however smoking is not allowed. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in rent. Within 3.8 miles there is a shop and within 3.9 miles there is a pub. Chestnut is a welcoming abode for a family retreat, whatever time of year.

Alston, the highest market town in England, is located in the North Pennines in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is surrounded by a distinctive scenery of moorland, hills, rivers, and waterfalls. Oliver Twist and Jane Eyre were both produced by ITV in this charming village with its cobblestone alleys and unique nooks and crannies. Artists and authors have long been inspired by Alston and the North Pennines; W H Auden adored the area, and Alston continues to be an inspiration to the local crafters.
