Amazing location. Hotel staff were very welcoming. Only downside was the service from some of (not all) the restaurant staff was a bit slack.

The property needs a lot of work. The AC was broke. The lights in the hallway kept going out as you were walking in them. The view is spectacular but the road to get there is very very steep and windy

The hotel has incredible views and overall everything is very well maintained and beautiful. However, I was disappointed that there was no air conditioning, even considering it’s a mountain location. In addition, the fact that smoking was allowed left a tobacco smell in the room, which was quite uncomfortable. In short, the setting is wonderful, but these details definitely affected the comfort of the stay. I hope this feedback is taken as constructive, because the place has a lot of potential.

This hotel with its amazing view was acquired by a young entrepreneur who’s brought it back to life Not the finished article but deserves 100% support and congratulations They’re straining every sinew to make it work and it’s a great place to spy the lake and enjoy downtime

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Funicolare. We stayed in a family room, which was absolutely massive, with plenty of space for all of us and a very comfortable stay. The views were amazing and really added to the experience. We also had dinner at the hotel one evening and breakfast during our stay. The menu was varied, with plenty of choice, and everything we had was enjoyable. All of the staff were lovely and welcoming, but Luana at reception deserves a special mention. She was incredibly kind and helpful. We had unfortunately made a mistake when booking and selected the wrong dates, but Luana was so gracious and understanding and went out of her way to help us resolve the issue. Her kindness made a stressful situation so much easier. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend Hotel Funicolare. Spacious rooms, beautiful views, good food and genuinely wonderful staff.

The view is impeccable. However, it’s basically all that goes for it. The hotel seems to have seen its best day's. The staff is not impressive and lacked any helping spirit. The restaurant only had “pizza party buffet” for 20€ pp, we weren’t hungry and wanted to share a pizza or two. This was not possible and we went elsewhere.

The room was clean and spacious. The view was like something out of a movie, amazing! Slightly disappointed to find out the restaurant was pizzas only but the pizza was nice. Breakfast was also a slight let down, not much hot food to offer there than hotdog sausages and eggs. There were no pastries left when we went up
