"The most amazing stay of my my life , everything was top-notch. The view from balcony was extraordinary. All facilities were good . The landscaping and quality of products and bed is very good. We used suana services as well , it is in different building. Staff is helpful and welcoming but usually not on seat after 10 pm but someone from restaurant helped me. There should be intercom service from the room , you have to go far to reception to find any info. Missed the microwave . If they can provide a fan in summer it would be hood as no AC. There should be detergent dispenser for laundry service . Nobody wants to buy full pack from shop if staying for 3 days. Would love to come back."

"Die küche ist hervorragend ausgeststtet, es fehlt an nichts.Die lage ist sehr gut, ruhig und tolle aussichtHervorragende sauberkeit.Kritikpunkt sind die beiden sehr schmalen und kurzen betten in einem sehr kleinen erwachsennzimmer.Und die beiden zusammengeschobenen betten im andern schlafzimmer, kein wirkliches doppelbett.Bei einem tagespreis von 360 euro ist die reinigungsgebühr von 190 sfr enthalten. Daher sind die exakten anweisungen, wie und wo die handtücher zu sammeln und aufzuhängen sind und die bitte, die betten abzuziehen, den müll komplett wegzubringen doch etwas unangemessem.Für 6 erwachsene zu wenig schlafkomfort, so unser fazit."

"Excellent jumping off point for the hiking we planned on doing in the mountains, and an easy hike down to the Landwasser Viaduct (though the climb back up was not quite as easy).Steps to groceries. Unfortunately not a lot in the way of restaurants in Schmitten, and we were travelling without a car - which we understood in retrospect why it was surprising to the host when we arrived. The first night we walked down the hill to Alvaneu (about 5km) for a serviceable dinner at La Cantina. We got some groceries the next morning (the grocer is open from 8:00 to 12:00 daily) for breakfast and for snacks on the hoof, and then just made sure we were hiking through a town at dinner hour one night, and barbequed some sausages and vegetables at the property one night. Kitchen facilities at the property were great - the best I've had at a VRBO (or that other one I'm not allowed to name here, apparently).I probably wouldn't recommend not having a car to most prospective guests at this property, but it worked for us.Property was lovely for our crew of six - three "real" adults, two technical adults (20 and 18), and one brat (15) - and could have comfortably slept eight. We somehow did not get around to using the sauna. Had a bit of initial confusion but ultimately got our clothes clean in the laundry facilities. And loved the mountain air.Urs was a pleasure to deal with. Anita was out of town while we were there."

"This hotel is quite roomy and comfortable and very warm in the winter. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise with a good variety, especially the fresh fruit and salmon. The downside is no fridge or tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The manager happily did laundry for us which we really appreciated. We walked from the train (easy enough downhill) but learned afterwards that a bus meets the train, so look out for it!"
