"Very basic guest house. Outside run down and scruffy looking. Stairs up to reception (no lift) Reception staff couldn't find out booking. Had to Google the hotel to find it! Room basic and a bit cramped. Problems with the tap.. only hot water! 2nd floor room still had noise from bar/ club next door to 4am! Also was not cheap. Would definitely not recommend. For a few euros more there's a holiday inn round the corner. "

"We recently stayed at the Maldron Hotel Parnell Square for nine nights. While the location was excellent and very convenient for exploring Dublin, I was disappointed by several aspects of our stay. Room servicing was inconsistent — one day I had to request toilet rolls, and on another, the servicing was delayed until quite late and never very through. I also had an evening meal in the restaurant one night and ordered the burger, which was advertised as a handmade double meat pattie. Unfortunately, it turned out to be two freezer-style patties covered in cheese and was quite unappetising. When the manager noticed I hadn’t eaten it, he kindly offered a complimentary dessert, but no refund or discount was provided despite my request. Overall, while the location and general facilities were good, the service and dining experience did not meet expectations."

"Hotel felt very modern and spacious. One of the best standard rooms we’ve visited. Close enough to the main areas but not too close that you were surrounded by bars. Location could feel a little out of the way if you were travelling on your own and there was a bit of building work going on next door but that didn’t disrupt our stay. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel but there were lots of options just 5 min walk away."
