We stayed in the double basic room with shared bathroom. Room was ok nothing amazing could have done with a bit of a spruce up there was a few cracks in the plaster and the velux/skylight window didn’t shut very well and there looked to have been a previous leak on the sink the bed was comfortable and overall the room was perfectly fine for somewhere to sleep. Shared bathroom & shower was good and we had no issues which was surprising considering you share with approx 6 other rooms but toilet and shower was clean and well looked after. Staff were super helpful at check in and check out would highly recommend this as a budget hotel for Amsterdam as we paid approx £350 for 3 nights for 2 people and was perfect. Also located around 10mins walk from the nearest metro station

Amazing staff. Clean room, and a desk fan is provided. In my room, the end of the bed was partially under the windowsill. If you are over 190cm (6ft 3in) this could be uncomfortable, if you are under 175cm (5ft 9in) it's unlikely to be an issue. Windows could open in multiple ways. Nice and quiet. Tram stop, museum and supermarket within walking distance. Would stay again.

A good location to stay on a low budget. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. IMPORTANT: The rooms do not look like the images used to advertise the hotel. The bathrooms and beds were clean, but the rest of the room was less so, and much of the property feels worn and in need of updating. Overall, if your priority is a convenient location and an affordable place to stay, this hotel can work well. Just set your expectations accordingly and don’t expect the property to look like it does in the promotional photos.

The hotel is in a great and quiet location near the museums The the room was clean and nice The breakfast was really good The BAD - there is no lift, the stairs are very steep (like climbing a ladder) and we had 4th floor - a real struggle if you have big travel cases and not super strong ! The condition of the stair hand rail and carpet is almost dangerous - you have to climb and descend with Extreme caution ⚠️

Had a great stay the staff were lovely and easy to ask questions too about were to go out for food, bars and clubs. You’re right next to 2 museums but kinda far from down town but the walk is 20 min and has some good sightseeing. Overall 8.7/10

Hotel Washington is a no frills hotel in heart of the museum district of Amsterdam. What you lack in amenities you gain in location and save in terms of cost per night. The room was clean, the hotel itself was very charming, and everyone was helpful. There isn’t ac or an elevator(lift) but our room was actually quite cool and they were able to find us a fan to help. Overall great stay.

As a fit person, I didn't mind the very steep stairs, but I could see the frail or elderly not enjoying it. I loved having a nice neighborhood view out the window and the neighborhood itself was quiet. The walls were pretty thin, but had only a few rooms per floor.

Everything was fantastic. I will say, the stairs going up to the 4th floor are a bit intimidating. Would not recommend for older people but if you’re young and fit, it’s not a bother. The view was worth it. Super fair space for the price. Incredible view from a nice balcony. No a/c but with the balcony door open and fan on it was perfect.
