The July was a home from home. Beautifully situated in the dock area of Houthaven, this contemporary hotel had a really traditional feel. The rooms are stylish, comfortable and give you the feeling that you’re not just a hotel guest in Amsterdam, you’re a resident. Hard to leave.

A very welcoming hotel in an ideal spot in west Amsterdam. Boasts some of the most quiet and comfortable rooms I have ever stayed in. Great food, excellent showers and a decent sauna and steam room. A slightly odd thing when I asked for a drink in the bar one evening and was told “you can only order outside”, this seemed very odd when I regarded the dozens of empty seats and tables inside, which apparently I could not use.

When you are traveling Europe for a longer period of time, you really appreciate a property like this. They have all the amenities like gym, free bikes, and laundry. The room design is perfection and the staff was eager to help us make the stay enjoyable. Away from the hustle and bustle of the inner city, we could access Central Station with the free ferry and our free bikes. Well done July!

Loved our stay! All the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel uses WhatsApp which you can ask questions anytime. We used it to book the gym which is really well equipped too. Hotel is in a more neighbourhood area which we liked and super easy to get into town centre on tram or a 40 min walk. Would 100% recommend.

Our flight was cancelled rebooked and then delayed. We didn’t arrive until after midnight. It was great they had 24/7 personnel on duty to check in. The lobby and restaurant area looked wonderful but we didn’t get to make use of it.

We stayed here for a week while visiting Amsterdam for the first time, and we loved every minute. It is only a few minutes walk from the nearest bus stop that will get you to the central station in 5-10 minutes. It's in a quiet, residential area which we preferred. The staff were extremely friendly, the room was big with a well appointed kitchen, and the breakfast was delicious. We would definitely stay here again!

The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed to make light meals and snacks. The Nespresso machine was a nice touch. The gym was very nice and had ample equipment and the reservation system was nice to keep it crowd free. I loved that they provided free rental bikes since it is a little bit of a ride to the city center. Loved being on the water with beautiful views from every window. The restaurant was very good too and the service was fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

The staff at the July were outstanding. They were friendly, helpful and genuine. The hotel itself was clean and inviting. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious. We enjoyed the restaurant and bar downstairs as well as the free bicycles available. It was a positive experience from check in to check out. Amsterdam has many options for lodging, but we will stay at the July anytime we return to Amsterdam. Thank you for everything!
