Hip and trendy hotel catering to young professionals in their 20s and 30s. Packed with awesome amenities including two great restaurants, a coffee bar, a rooftop hot tub, a sauna, a communal workspace and a basement night club. The young, super-friendly staff set a great atmosphere, and the location, right next to the metro and 7 minutes from the city center, couldn't be more convenient. But beware that the club goes on until 6 AM on weekends, so you will hear some music in your room throughout the night.

Very good location, convenient for getting to the city, both train stations, and the airport. The surrounding area also seems safe. The hotel's restaurant and rooms are modern in design, well-equipped, and very clean.

The staff were all very nice and helpful for a first-time visitor like myself. My room was super clean and felt very cozy. The breakfast options were not terribly expensive, nor were the options at the terrace restaurant/bar. I felt very welcome during my entire stay, and the property is not far from many great things to see/do in Amsterdam. One of my favorite things was the rentable bikes the hotel offered. Very helpful in a city like this one

We (2 adults, 2 kids) stayed at the Volkshotel for two nights and found it was exciting and fun. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean, fun/different and the rooftop with sauna and hot tubs were appreciated by the entire family. The breakfast was not that special and could be had at a different location.

Everything about our stay at the Volkshotel was incredible! The staff are all very kind, and we had access to everything we needed in our room. It's a very cool place with a very cool vibe. Locals work coop there, and come back in the evening to party. The food is amazing as well. We had only one complaint! Possibly it was a glitch in the matrix. The hot tubs weren't hot! They appear awesome at first glance: on rooftop, overlooking the city, ready access to sauna. But they were all about 95 degrees Fahrenheit (35 degrees Celsius). You could never get warm with the temperature below body temperature! I had to satisfy my hot water needs with a shower in the room (which are also of very high quality).

The staff were all great, really helpful. The hotel is quite funky and we liked that. The bar terrace and restaurant were great, lovely to come back to after a long day sightseeing. The top floor with hot tubs and sauna was pretty cool and we loved the location, right next to a Metro stop. The room was quiet and functional but the blinds let in lots of light so difficult to sleep from the early hours.
