Wonderful stay

Fantastic hotel , the property is in a really picturesque spot in Anacapri. Walking distance in to Anacapri centre and a really useful shuttle to Capri and the ferry port. The staff were excellent and the pool was a great place to relax! Would 100% recommend

This is a beautiful hotel. Set away from the hub bib of Capri Town it is a real oasis of calm with excellent service. All the staff will do everything to make your stay enjoyable and memorable. Special thanks to Luigi who provided an excellent during our stay.

Gorgeous grounds and a very pleasant pool area with views to the sea. The staff was very friendly and always available. Only a 15-minute walk to the village center with many shopping and dining options. Anacapri is not as crowded as Capri, which makes it very enjoyable. Nothing really worth complaining about. Overall, a superb place to stay on the island.

I wonderful boutique hotel. Only 14 rooms, which is perfect and the staff are very attentive. The pool is nice and the views are beautiful. Each room has a private terrace, which is lovely. The restaurant serves a nice breakfast (included) and also offers lunch, but you’re on your own for dinner. Finding nice dinner options in AnaCapri is easy and fun. The Wi-Fi and smart TV worked well. Make sure to see Villa San Michele and also take the chair lift to Monte Solaro — both nice walks from the hotel.

One of the most spectacular places I’ve ever been to. Everything was perfect: the free shuttle (private driver) to and from the port, the calm and quiet of the property (even on a very touristy island,) the cleanliness, breakfast, service, & pool… honestly, just book it. I went with my mother and we both actually teared up a little when we left. I wish I were joking but it’s true.

While Capri can be pretty busy and touristy, we liked Orsa Maggiore for its slightly more secluded location (but still easily walkable to town of Anacapri), and its views out over the sea far below. The service was excellent--anything needed arranged including especially transport; good food (breakfast and lunch; no dinners served, but those all arranged with transport too at great places by the staff). Service and facilities well above and beyond what might expect at a small (14 rooms) place. We highly recommend! (side note: the staff figured out from my passport that it was my birthday when we arrived and produced (at no charge!) cake and champagne after we checked in!)

Very nice place! No complaints!! I was walking alone as a single female, at night and in terrible rain, and it was fine. Make sure you plan your ferry trip so that you can take advantage of the hotel transport (I got ripped off by a taxi driver since I got the last ferry to Capri and missed the hotel's last shuttle at 8pm).

Great for a couples getaway

We stayed at Orsa Maggiore for 3 nights as a couple on a romantic holiday. The hotel is well situated, a 12-minute walk from Anacapri. Already prior to checking in we were impressed, as the hotel provides a free chauffeur service from the Capri harbour. The staff were very attentive and fluent in English. The room was large, sunny, spacious with a lovely bathroom and great toiletries. The hotel also has a swimming pool with a poolside bar, and a nice, light lunch can also be had. Overall, I would recommend to anyone looking for a great place to spend their holiday in Capri, who is also looking for perhaps staying a bit away from the huge crowds of Capri proper.

Awesome Stay

We had an amazing stay: staff is awesome, location is great. They have an amazing heated pool, and a fantastic breakfast with homemade pies and local products. The free shuttle allows you to discover the island in the most comfy way. Can only highly recommended - we felt on holiday every second while there!

Beautiful Hotel for a Perfect, Unforgettable Stay

Orsa Maggiore is a wonderful boutique hotel with the friendliest, most helpful staff you can imagine. Our stay was made absolutely perfect by the lovely state of the hotel -- clean and well-kept -- and by the beauty of the pool and the views. Antonella and Silvia at the front desk were so helpful to us, recommending restaurants and arranging transportation. From transportation to poolside, the rooms and the service, we could not recommend this hotel more. We would love to come back, and will recommend to friends and family as well.

Lovely Stay with Top Service

Orsa Maggiore is an amazing gem just outside of Anacapri. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would definitely return! A big reason the stay was so great was the friendly and attentive staff, and service they provided. From the lovely conversations how our day was or offering tips and service with the free shuttle to go around the island -- they made our stay that much more comfortable and hassle free. The location was exactly what we were looking for! About a 10-15 minute walk into Anacapri centre, it was easy to walk in for shops, restaurants, or to explore; however, whilst also enabling us to be outside of town overlooking the sea. The best of both worlds. Thank you again for lovely stay!
