I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at a VRBO house for two nights, and I feel compelled to share my negative review. Our stay began on a promising note, with us being quiet, respectful guests who adhered to all of the cleaning requirements outlined by the host. However, what followed has left me extremely frustrated and disappointed.
The crux of the issue revolves around the host's unwarranted attempt to charge us an additional $720 after our stay. The reason? They claimed that we had two additional guests staying with us who were coming and going all weekend. This assertion is not only baseless but completely false. We had my in-laws over for a coffee during our stay, which lasted less than two hours. They certainly did not stay overnight or occupy any bedrooms.
The host's blatant attempt to charge us for non-existent guests feels like nothing short of an attempt to take advantage of us financially. It's disheartening to think that a host would resort to such tactics to squeeze more money out of their guests. As a result of this unjustified charge, I am now forced to dispute the charges with VRBO, which is adding unnecessary stress and consuming valuable time. This entire experience has been nothing but a headache, and I would strongly advise anyone considering staying at this property to think twice and explore other options. Save yourself the trouble and frustration – do not stay here!
